A Bayesian network based Qos assessment model for service selection

چکیده
Quality of Service (Qos) plays a key role in web services. In an open and volatile environment, services may not deliver the Qos they declared. Hence, it is important to provide a Qos assessment model to select the most appropriate service for the user. Although many researches have been done to develop models and techniques to assist users in Qos assessment, most of them ignore various Qos requirements of users, which are great important to evaluate providers with different service levels. In this paper, we propose a Bayesian network based Qos assessment model to select the service most suitable to the user. This model can predict the service’s capability in various combinations of users’ Qos requirements. Experimental results show that the proposed Qos assessment model is effective.

Project Portfolio Risk Response Selection Using Bayesian Belief Networks
Risk identification, impact assessment, and response planning constitute three building blocks of project risk management. Correspondingly, three types of interactions could be envisioned between risks, between impacts of several risks on a portfolio component, and between several responses. While the interdependency of risks is a well-recognized issue, the other two types of interactions remai...
متن کاملAdvanced operations research techniques for multi-constraint QoS routing in internet
Internet Traffic has grown exponentially over last few years due to provision of multiple class services through Internet backbone. With the explosive use of Internet, contemporary Internet routers are susceptible to overloads and their services deteriorate drastically and often cause denial of services. In this paper, an analysis is made how forecasting technique, routing algorithm and Genetic...
متن کاملSelecting Trustworthy Service in Service-Oriented Environments
Most of current service selection approaches in service-oriented environments fail to capture the dynamic relationships between services or assume the complete knowledge of service composition is known as a prior. In these cases, problems may arise when consumers are not aware of the underlying composition behind services. We propose a distributed trust-aware service selection model based on a ...
متن کاملA Novel Fuzzy Logic Base Scheduling Mechanism for Service Differentiation in IP Networks
Quality of Service (QoS) refers to a set of rules or techniques that help the network administrators use the available network resources optimally to manage the effects of congestion and to treat the applications according to their needs. The differentiated services architecture (DiffServ) allows providing quality of service to users. The major DiffServ premise is that individual flows with sim...
متن کاملBNQM: A Bayesian Network based QoS Model for Grid service composition
The QoS attributes of Grid services play important roles in several tasks in Grid computing such as QoS-aware service composition, service negotiation, resource management, service discovery and scheduling. By considering the dynamic aspects of the Grid environments and also the uncertainty related to Grid services, in this paper, we present BNQM, a Bayesian network based probabilistic QoS Mode...
